Barrett Kuethen

Barrett Kuethen is President, CEO, and partner at Amtec, where he has spent nearly two decades building the systems and strategies that power the company's staffing and recruiting operations. Barrett joined Amtec in 2006 as an accounting intern while studying at Azusa Pacific University. What started as a back-office role quickly evolved. His instinct for eliminating inefficiencies led him to redesign internal processes, dig into data analysis, and take on broader operational responsibility across the company. In 2015, he was promoted to Operations Manager, overseeing the day-to-day systems that keep Amtec running. In Spring 2025, Barrett stepped into the role of President and CEO, bringing his deep operational expertise and strategic vision to lead Amtec into its next chapter. Barrett's background gives him a rare perspective in the staffing industry. He understands workforce challenges not just from a recruiting lens, but from the operational and analytical side of running a business. That experience informs the content he writes on hiring strategy, workforce planning, and building efficient teams. Outside of work, Barrett married his high school sweetheart in 2007, and together they have 2 kids. When he's not at Amtec, you'll find him mountain biking, tinkering with web development and design projects, or tackling whatever home project is next on the list.
