ACCOUNTING MANAGER
SUMMARY
This position is very hands on and has a large degree of accountability for accounting, tax and reporting. Accurate financial reporting to Corporate and meeting deadlines are key areas of responsibility. The position supervises 4 staff members; Accounts Payable, Invoicing Clerk, Accounting Clerk and Staff Accountant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Specific duties include:
Prepare monthly financial statements, including preparation and maintenance of journal entries, account reconciliation and analysis
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and yearend closing
Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages to Corporate, including submission of monthly, quarterly and annual reports using consolidation software
Ensure accuracy of fixed accounts payable, accounts receivable and other subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger
Prepare, confirm and reconcile related party receivables, payables and transactions monthly
Work with payroll department to create and reconcile payroll related journal entries, ensuring accuracy of payroll transactions
Prepare income tax schedules, quarterly estimated tax, sales and use tax returns and other tax and compliance returns as required
Review and monitor transactions subject to JSOX and ensure compliance and provide supporting evidence to Corporate and external auditors
Collaborates with other department managers to support overall company goals and objectives
Assist in the preparation of annual budget and forecast
Interact with external auditors during quarterly and yearend audits
Serve as a back up to AP, AR and Billing.
Perform various ad-hoc analyses and reconciliations as necessary
Perform other projects as requested
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA preferred but not required
Minimum seven years of progressive experience in accounting with at least three years as manager level, with supervisory experience
Manufacturing experience preferred
Proficient in Excel using pivot table and v-lookup and other functions.
Hands on experience with manufacturing ERP system, JDE 9.2 preferred
Ability to effectively supervise, motivate and train accounting staff
Excellent organizational and communication skills
