Role: Adapted Physical Education (APE)
Location: Los Angeles County / San Bernardino
Duration: Full-time/Part-time and permanent
Pay Range: $60-$70/hr
Our client is looking for highly qualified candidates who’ll be able to provide and work with specialized programs that are designed to offer a unique approach to special education. Our program specializes in meeting the needs of these challenges which may include problems with concentration, behavior, learning disorders, development, physical or psychiatric disorders, and emotional problems.
Job Description:
Adapted Physical Education (APE) provides services such as completing comprehensive motor assessments of individuals with disabilities and making specific program recommendations; providing direct services to students who are eligible and in need of APE; consulting with physical education staff providing physical education instruction for individuals with disabilities; consult with other IEP team members about student need in the area of APE; serve as an IEP member at IEP meetings; monitor student progress; advocate for the student and parent.
