Assistant Branch Manager – Long Beach, CA $60-75k base plus bonus

Summary
Wholesale distributor serving professional HVACR contractors. Assistant Branch Manager serves as the face of the company to our valued customers.  Provides leadership, direction and guidance at all times and assumes responsibility in the absence of Senior Management.


Responsibilities
  • Identify customers’ needs/wants and then inform, educate and offer solutions. 
  • Effective use of Sales techniques to Inform, Educate and Offer product to customers, upselling (good, better or best) and add-on sales.
  • Demonstrate ability to establish customer rapport.
  • Planning, directing and monitoring branch sales so as to ensure consistent and continued growth in sales and profitability.  
  • Directing branch customer service activities to establish, improve and enhance customer service as well as maximize profitability.
  • Ensure wholesale customers are serviced so that their orders are accurately prepared and delivered to customers in a timely manner. 
  • Respond to after hours emergency calls and alarms (rotating schedule with other managers).
  • Demonstrate a leadership role in developing sales and customer loyalty.
  • Demonstrate a leadership role in maintaining and increasing gross profit.
  • Assist in other branches when coverage for vacations is necessary.
  • Ensure the branch warehouse area is organized, safe, and loss prevention and security practices are followed.
  • Manage the merchandising of products according to corp. or branch guidelines, including promotions, sales floor displays.
  • Coordinating showroom displays, stocking levels and seasonal shifts.
  • Assist with planning and executing vendor or Open House Days, special events, promotions, inventory and buyback.
  • Work together with management to ensure key issues or possible problems are addressed in a positive and proactive manner.
  • Ensure the SOP is maintained and followed by all employees.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for management in all aspects of branch operations.
  • Set and maintain a positive attitude and atmosphere for customers and employees.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of proprietary Company information.

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • 2+ years HVAC/R industry experience
  • 2+ years customer service experience
  • 2+ years of Leadership/management experience preferred
  • Honesty, integrity, willingness to take on any task 
  • Ability to make sound judgements and decisions 
  • Experience building team and customer relationships
  • Developed Listening skills
