Position: Cut and Dril Operator 
Location: Hayward, CA
Duration: Full time, Permanent
 

What you’ll be doing
As a Cut & Drill Operator, you’ll:
  • Practice plant safety and ensure all safe practices are followed
  • Operate Ficep structural steel Drill, Saw and Plasma automated line
  • Follow all quality procedures, material tracking and part sampling inspection
  • Follow policies, practices, procedures and tracking for production operations
  • Look out for manufacturing issues and escalate design, manufacturing and build issues to supervisors when appropriate
  • Interpret assembly drawings
  • Maintain equipment per manufactures’ recommendations for preventive maintenance
  • Utilize understanding of component assembly processes to prevent detailing errors reaching the cutting, drilling operation center.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Who you are
A motivated individual who will be responsible for providing a constant flow of quality parts to our steel beam and column cells. All basic components of the building start at the FICEP cell, including beams, columns, light angle or flat bar parts. You will also be responsible for quality control of details and DSTV files prior to cutting and drilling steel components. You have:
  • Experience in a parts manufacturing environment, or similar industry a plus
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communicational skills
  • Strong understanding of structural assembly and fabrication equipment including, saws, drill presses, plasma cutting, iron workers
  • Specific knowledge of structural steel CNC equipment
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
