Seeking an Electronics Engineer for an industry leading company. Reports directly to the Power Electronics Manager. Great benefits package with pay upwards of $110K depending on experience with a 25% of base yearly bonus, relocation assistance provided (up to 20% of base yearly salary)
SUMMARY
We are searching for a driven individual with skills as an electronics engineer. The electronics engineer will be responsible for designing, updating and testing boards and developing firmware. This position will require a strong background in PCB design and a firm grasp of circuit design. The electronics engineer must have experience designing boards that contain FPGA’s or CPU’s or be capable of demonstrating the knowledge to successfully design a board containing an FPGA or CPU. This role will require experience programing FPGA’s and expertise in Verilog design.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Conduct and direct product design and development, establishing new design guidelines and tools including FPGA programs, occasionally developing design methods outside established standards.
 Own the full FPGA design, including logic implementation, data movement and analysis, test benches, compilation, and timing analysis.
 Effectively testing and diagnosing issues when developing new board designs solving failures if they occur after release.
 Display an aptitude towards FPGA algorithms and an understanding of effective pipelining of data.
 Design systems to communicate data between multiple chips or boards. Must be familiar with various communication protocols.
 Design board layouts to reduce interference, minimize footprint and meet all design requirement
 Develop detailed documentation on board designs and Verilog.
 Collaborate with embedded software team to adapt firmware to meet the products needs.
 Prepare engineering reports covering topics or issues involving various products or technical fields, with contribution from various individuals including external consultants or subject matter experts. Some reports may be distributed outside the company.
 Direct the development of new products by coordinating the creation of specifications, prototype design, creation and execution of validation tests, reviewing and preparing supporting documentation.
 Execute and manage execution of tasks according to orders or project schedules, striving for 100% on-time completion. Provide timely reports on project status.

SCOPE, PURPOSE, AND FREQUENCY OF CONTACTS
The position requires daily contact with all levels of TWMC and customers including Engineering, Marketing, Factory Operations, Supply Chain, Service and Accounting.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
 Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Engineering or Physical Science
 Master's or PhD. degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 Professional certification or license preferred.
 Minimum of three years of experience Writing in Verilog
 Three to five years of experience using applicable industry standards.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
 Ability to program in Verilog
 Ability to design board layouts and select electrical components
 Ability to diagnose electrical issues with board designs
 Ability to read and interpret documents such as d.
 Ability to write reports, white papers, and correspondence.
 Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Proficiency of statistical tools.
 Drive to learn new skills, acquire knowledge and apply to practical situations.
 C++ experience is preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS
The ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing drawings, repair specifications, test results, and technical journals; respond to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community; and communicate effectively in the presence of top management, customers, trade associations, and other public groups.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, algebra, permutations, calculus, and differential equations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to identify a solution to a problem involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
