Job Description

Our healthcare partner is seeking for a dual board-certified hematologist/oncologist to join our expanding cancer care team. This role involves providing general care to a diverse patient population in a dynamic and growing region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coverage of two major hospitals within a 12-mile radius in Colorado Springs.
  • Join a collaborative and innovative team, including various oncology specialists and a comprehensive supportive care team.
  • Comprehensive hematology/oncology care services available, including nurse navigators, social workers, genetics, nutrition, surgical oncology, oncology rehab, and support classes.
  • Active participation in the latest clinical trials, tumor board meetings, and a strong belief in the role of clinical research in advancing cancer care.
  • Opportunity for collaboration with colleagues at a renowned cancer center.
  • Involvement in high-level tumor boards within a Level 1 trauma center.
  • Unique outpatient Hematology/Oncology opportunity with a focus on work/life integration.
  • Number of patients seen per day: 18-20, with discretion for new patient vs. follow-up appointments.
  • Age groups treated: adult and geriatric (no pediatric care).
  • Call schedule of 1:9 with minimal clinic duties during the call week.
  • Opportunity for subspecialization.
  • Access to leading tumor board discussions, clinical trials, and research.
  • Teaching opportunities available but not mandatory.
  • Strong referral network within the healthcare system.
  • Open to recent graduates.
  • Must be interested in permanent placement (not accepting locum tenens).

Credentialing and Requirements:

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology.
  • Cannot accept visa candidates.
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) proficiency.
  • Credentialing timeline: approximately 90 days.
