Inventory Technician

Job Description

In this role, you will report to the Site Services Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantors Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel and our customers to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Schedule: Mon – Fri, 6 am – 3 pm

What were looking for:

Education: High school diploma or GED is required.

Experience: 1+ years customer service, inventory replenishment, or material handling experience is required.

Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Office suite.

Qualifications:

Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues required.

Strong communication skills required.

High level of customer service skills with the ability to display a professional can-do attitude required.

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs required.

Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office required.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines required.

Problem-solving skills required.

Spill containment training, IATA, DOT, IMDG and OSHA Right to Know experience is considered a plus.

Previous experience working in a GMP facility is strongly desired.

Avantors Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

Facilitate orders for consumable lab inventory replenishment.

Manage customers point of use or stockroom inventory.

Responsible for logistical activities such as shipping and receiving of materials through coordination with 3rd party couriers.

May handle and manage chemicals, including hazardous materials.

Basic order entry and follow-up on existing back-orders.

Maintain and check safety stations.

Updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures

Cleanroom garment management.

Other duties as assigned.
