Job Description

SUMMARY:  Performs a wide variety of processes and/or fabricating operations necessary for producing material used to manufacture circuit boards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include one or more of the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Comply with all company safety practices and regulations.
Perform work in a safe manner at all times.
Adhere to all work rules and regulations while on company premises.
  • To assemble prepreg and copper for production.
  • Assemble and clean sheeted prepreg and copper prior to lay-up operations.
  • Maintain SPC charts and logs.
  • House keeping in and around clean rooms, prepreg cutting rooms and prepreg storage rooms.
  • Preparation of laminates for pressing.
  • Assemble all needed materials.
  • Operate presses.
  • Account for accurate counts and materials types.
  • Account for accurate press functions and correct work order information.
  • Alert supervisor of worn plates or equipment malfunctions to insure quality of finished product.
  • Housekeeping in and around work area.
  • Prepare materials for the next process.
  • Trim material of all excess flash.
  • Load baking oven with finished product.
  • Complete work orders, logs and related paperwork.
  • Assist production with minor step functions.
  • Assist panel operators as required.
  • Housekeeping in and around work area.
  • Sheet copper or prepreg from rolls.
  • Maintain cut logs and sheeting work order.
  • Coordinate the inspection of all materials with the Q. A. Department.
  • Sheet required material for the day-to-day operations and maintain work orders and inventories.
  • Assist others as needed.
  • Housekeeping in and around cutting room and cooper and prepreg storage areas.
  • Cut laminate panel to customer specifications (correct size and quantity).
  • Cut laminate panels to customer specifications.
  • Keep accurate count of material.
  • Accurately record what the cut is on each work order.
  • Assist in packaging operation.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Band and strap pallets for shipment.
  • Insure proper labels and stamps are applied for each item.
  • Check work orders for proper material type and quantity.
  • Housekeeping in and around work area.
  • To remove and separate laminates from books after pressing.
  • Assemble needed materials.
  • Maintain related records.
  • Clean and separate caul plates.
  • Keep accurate count and insure material matches work order travelers.
  • Housekeeping in and around work area.

Job Requirements

Ability to perform physical work on a repetitive basis.  Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be on one's feet for extended periods.  Ability to work shift work and overtime as needed.
