DUTIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Understand, follow, and enforce all policies, procedures, and protocols.
Provide support to maintain and operation of CIP systems.
Provide support for product and environmental pathogen prevention monitoring.
Analyze plant chemical requirements
Provide support to the plant on food safety initiatives.
Hire, train and motivate, monitor and evaluate performance of Sanitation and Housekeeping department employees.
Ensure employees follow established safety procedures including body mechanics, ergonomics and Good Manufacturing Practices when performing duties, and counsels, records, and disciplines as necessary.
Investigate accidents, completing all necessary documents and ensuring effective corrective action is taken.
Assist the Plant Manager with strategic initiatives and goal attainment. Establish dept. initiatives & goals to support plant objectives.
Prepare the Sanitation and Housekeeping dept. operating budget, and forecast needs of the department.
Participate in planning and recommending the necessary personnel, facilities, and equipment to effectively achieve dept. objectives.
Troubleshoot sanitation and quality issues. Identify and implement necessary and appropriate corrective measures.
Troubleshoot and lead problem-solving efforts through the facilitation of team meetings and on-the-floor leadership to effectively change systems and procedures through the process of continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with chemical suppliers to maintain optimum external support of the facility.
Provide awareness and training on new chemicals, processes and handling procedures as required.
Develops and implements effective SOP’s. Ensures that SOP’s are followed
Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience.
Minimum of five (5) years management experience in food manufacturing or processing, preferably dairy manufacturing with emphasis on sanitation and CIP procedures.
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc. with strong analytical skills
