Role: Special Education Teacher
Location: Los Angeles County
Duration: Full-time/Part-time and Permanent
Pay Range: $55-70/hr
Our client is looking for highly qualified candidates who’ll be able to provide and work with specialized programs that are designed to offer a unique approach to special education. Our program specializes in meeting the needs of these challenges which may include problems with concentration, behavior, learning disorders, development, physical or psychiatric disorders, and emotional problems.
Job Description:
Special Education Teachers work with students with a variety of special needs, from learning, behavior, or social to access and work towards meeting IEP academic and behavior goals.
Minimum qualifications to be considered:
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and be eligible for a temporary Special Education permit from the California Department of Education.
· Or Mild to Moderate and Moderate to Severe Credential.
· Preference is given to candidates with Special Education and Welligent and/or SEIS experience.
· Proven ability to work with individuals with severe language, learning, emotional and behavior disorders.
· Must demonstrate an interest in furthering professional development and training and experience with individuals and/or families with exceptional needs.
· must clear a current background check through the FBI and DOJ.
Preferred qualifications include.
· Proficient in the use of modern technology and office equipment.
· 1-3 years of experience in education.
· Bilingual in English/Spanish/Sign Language preferred, but not required.
CCES Teacher who knows how to:
· Assess the student’s skills and learning requirements as needed.
· Develop related goals and objectives.
· Provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs.
· Monitors student progress as described in student IEPs.
· Manage classroom crises and resolve conflict through the development and implementation of appropriate behavior management techniques.
· Performs all other duties as assigned.
