**Job Title: Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Accounting Administrator**

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Accounting Administrator to join our team.

**Location:** Baldwin Park, CA

**Salary:** Approximately around $35 an hour, commensurate with experience

**Job Description:**

**Responsibilities:**
1. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently in a timely manner.
2. Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
3. Code and enter invoices, expenses, and other financial transactions into the accounting system, ensuring proper allocation of expenses and cost centers.
4. Prepare and process payments to vendors and suppliers, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH payments, in accordance with payment terms and deadlines.
5. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or billing errors promptly, communicating with vendors and internal stakeholders as needed.
6. Generate and distribute customer invoices, statements, and reminders, monitoring accounts receivable aging and following up on overdue accounts.
7. Post customer payments and reconcile customer accounts, applying payments accurately and resolving any payment discrepancies or issues.
8. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and compiling financial reports.
9. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
10. Assist with financial analysis and reporting tasks, providing support to the accounting team and management as needed.
11. Collaborate with other departments, including purchasing, sales, and operations, to resolve financial and accounting-related inquiries and issues.
12. Provide administrative support to the accounting department, including filing, scanning, and data entry tasks.

Job Requirements

**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting role is desirable.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with vendors, customers, and colleagues.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP, is advantageous.
