Job Description

The Cannabis Services Unit operates within a hybrid work environment, allowing employees to flexibly alternate between office and remote work on a scheduled basis.


**Job Responsibilities:** Pay range upwards of 75k+ 100% paid for benefits and Hybrid WFH schedule.


– Acquire familiarity with state and local requirements for cannabis tax reporting, accounting, business structure, inventory control, and record keeping.

– Request, review, and analyze various financial reports, point of sale systems, inventory systems, tax returns, and banking information to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

– Generate comprehensive draft reports and summarizations of findings, following up with taxpayers on necessary adjustments. Prepare final reports that track changes or updates from the taxpayer.

– Collaborate within the Cannabis Services team to communicate audit results to clients.

– Uphold service quality standards, maintain financial project soundness, manage interactions, and report progress and issues.

– Execute additional special projects for the Cannabis Services Unit, as directed by the management team.


**Skills and Qualifications:**


– Proficient in managing large datasets.

– Understanding of basic financial concepts.

– Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

– Strong attention to detail.

– Excellent research skills.

– Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is desired but not mandatory.

– Innate problem-solving skills.

– Strong oral and written communication abilities.

– Capability to interact directly with clients on basic matters.

– Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.


**Education and Experience:**


– Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, data analytics, business administration, or a related analytical field preferred.

– Preferred 1-2 years of prior work experience, though not mandatory.
