Job Description

PURPOSE
Following prescribed machine shop methods and procedures, operates a variety of CNC machine tools to produce parts in a production environment as specified in blueprints and production planners. Operate manual drill.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Operates machine tools in a production environment to produce parts in accordance with specifications and blueprints.
  • Maintains, lubricates, and degreases production machines and equipment.
  • Loads parts for machining and performs periodic quality checks for conformance to specifications and planning documents.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Requires at least 6 months of on-the-job machine experience.

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Requires close hand/eye coordination, high manual dexterity including rapid hand and finger movements, and simultaneous use of both hands.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and follow verbal instructions in English

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 
  • Works in a factory environment and is exposed to dirt, heat, grit, sparks, noise, fumes, and dust.
  • Duties and responsibilities performed normally do require special physical requirements including standing, walking, bending over, crouching, pushing, pulling, repetitive foot control, repetitive use of hands, grasping, fine dexterity
