A Deburr Operator plays a crucial role in the manufacturing aspect of the organization. Primary responsibility is to remove burrs, clean, and/or blast metal parts produced at CNC work centers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Removes burrs from parts arriving at Deburr work center in accordance with specifications given by work order package.
Checks daily schedule (Dispatch List) to ensure what job(s) need to complete for the day.
Checks equipment used to remove burrs. (Drills, Sanding machines, etc.)
May be required to clean parts and/or sandblast parts.
Performs constant quality checks for conformance to specifications and planning documents.
Works under limited supervision.
Job Requirements
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Requires 1 to 3 years on-the-job machine shop experience.
To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
Proficient in spoken and written English
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be able to read and interpret basic blueprint call outs.
May be required to use measuring instruments to check specific part dimensions.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Works in a factory environment and is exposed to dirt, heat, grit, sparks, noise, fumes, and dust.
Requires close hand/eye coordination, high manual dexterity.
Duties and responsibilities performed normally do require special physical requirements including standing, walking, bending over, crouching, pushing, pulling, repetitive foot control, repetitive use of hands, grasping, fine dexterity, and occasional lifting of material up to 50 pounds.
