Position: Engineering Geologist with pay between 90-140k!

Major Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Geologist to join our growing team of Engineers and Geologists. You will be involved in a wide range of projects, from high-profile public works infrastructure to private developer and residential projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting background research using geology maps, geotechnical reports, aerial photos, GIS, etc.
Performing and managing geotechnical field investigations, such as mapping, drilling, and test pits.
Preparing geotechnical maps, cross sections, boring logs, and conducting relevant analyses.
Generating geotechnical design reports for various projects.
Conducting construction inspections and observations, including geologic observations and mapping for hillside grading projects.
Managing projects independently or with support staff, including preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and deliverables.
Actively expanding technical expertise to integrate into our diverse team of Engineers and Geologists, including gaining experience in related engineering fields such as geotechnical, civil, structural, and pavement.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences.
Licensed CA Professional Geologist, with ongoing pursuit of Certified Engineering Geologist license.
Minimum 5 years of full-time experience in geotechnical consulting.
Extensive experience in geotechnical investigations, including field exploration, drilling, and mapping.
Proficiency in preparing geotechnical maps, cross sections, boring logs, and other relevant analyses.
Ability to independently prepare geotechnical reports and collaborate effectively with geotechnical engineering teams.
Track record of conducting geotechnical observations during grading and construction, including hillside grading.
Experience in preparing proposals, managing budgets, and maintaining client relationships.
Strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to excellent client relations.
Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously or within a team-based environment.
Attention to detail, efficient time management, and willingness to collaborate and support other team members, including mentoring staff.
Availability of a vehicle to perform field work on geotechnical projects.
Preferred Qualifications for More Experienced Candidates:

Licensed CA Certified Engineering Geologist.
Master of Science in Geological Sciences.
Understanding of Geotechnical Engineering principles.
Project Management experience with public agencies and private clients.
Proficiency in relevant software applications such as GIS, gINT, AutoCAD, etc.
