Job Description

Location: Bay Area, Pay upwards of $39 an hour plus 100% paid for benefits for self and dependents plus 6% 401k and company vehicle. 
Night shift 8pm-6am 4/10.

Job Title: Field Service Representative (with secondary tasks as required)
Reports to: Manager, Field Service

Summary of Position:
In this challenging role, you will work independently to meet customer needs out of the Santa Clara and surrounding locations. Our client builds and operates hydrogen stations. 

 


Job Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
* Provide a working knowledge of preventive & predictive maintenance methods.
* Test and maintain the pressure and leaks on gas lines.
* Purge and remedy gas lines.
* Clean any and all necessary tubing.
* Maintain a clean environment at each site.
* Confidentiality handle hazardous liquid chemicals.
* Calibrate instrumentation.
* Troubleshoot our True Zero brand gaseous and liquid hydrogen dispensers.
* General repair and maintenance.
* Sample hydrogen gas for state regulations.
* Work with/on:
* Low and medium (24VDC, 110 VAC, 208 VAC) voltage equipment,
including motors, relays, compressors and PLC's.

* LH2 systems, including pumps.
* High-pressure hydrogen gas lines (up to 15,000 psi).
* Hydrogen Compressors - replace oil, valves, heads etc.
* Troubleshoot electrical systems, including 4-20mA system, pressure
transducers, valves, electronic and air operated valves, control valves,
and PLC logic
* Customer Interface:
o Answer support service calls from customers.
o Train customers on fueling 5k and 10k psi hydrogen vehicles dispensers.
o Independently troubleshoot and remedy onsite equipment with possible
customer observance.
o Interact calmly and professionally with our customers as needs arise.
* Retain and complete all assigned tasks in the training binder.
* Document and maintain the tool and training records for optimal efficiency.
* Oversee contractors to ensure all work is performed per customer comment and
code specifications.
* Assist team with various tasks to accomplish new or changing projects.
* Utilize the FirstElement Computerized Maintenance Management System
(CMMS) to document and perform inventory transfers
* Administer the inventory and part processing with the Warehouse and
Commissioning Team.
* Collaborate and aid the Commissioning Team when needs arise.
DESIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* High School diploma or equivalency is preferred.
* Proficiency in the use of hand and hand power tools, commonly used with
installation and maintenance tasks.
* Capability to repair and problem solves with mechanical and electrical
equipment.
* Clean driving record - Technicians must pass the assigned Driver's Course during
the training period.
* Willingness to be digitally savvy to perform projects and other day-to-day duties.
* Candidate must be a champion for flexibility and change as key elements to
supporting our customer needs successfully.
SCHEDULE + BENEFITS:
* Travel Time: Field Service Technicians are provided work orders at the start of
their daily shift and will spend 100% of their time out in the field.
* Field Service Technicians will use a company-issued hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle.
