Job Description:
The Project Engineer is responsible for a wide range of engineering tasks and related fields. They possess comprehensive knowledge and experience in engineering principles and practices. They independently make decisions on engineering problems and methods and represent the organization in conferences to address important questions and plan and coordinate work. The required expertise is typically gained through progressive experience.

Reporting Structure/Limits of Authority and Responsibility:
Supervision and guidance mainly focus on overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. The Project Engineer consults with their supervisor regarding problems and developments.

Typical Duties:
In a supervisory role, the Project Engineer plans, develops, coordinates, and oversees either a significant engineering project or several smaller projects with complex features. They perform technical engineering or inspection duties, track project budgets and schedules, ensure timely submission of deliverables to clients within the allocated budget, maintain existing clients, and generate new business. Additionally, they hire, train, and supervise subordinate personnel. The Project Engineer actively contributes to the growth and development.

Job Requirements

Education/Registration Status/Professional Attainments:
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, along with relevant continuing education. They are registered as a California Civil (P.E.) or Geotechnical Engineer (G.E.). While a Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Civil Engineering is not mandatory, it is considered advantageous.
