**Job Title: Glazing Estimator/PM**
**Company Overview:**
My client is a family-owned glazing company for the past 9 years based in Pomona, CA, dedicated to delivering exceptional glazing solutions to clients. With a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, they have built a strong reputation in the industry. They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Glazing Estimator/PM to head up the estimating department. This person will be the only Estimator and heavily relied on by the Owner who drives in new business.
**Location:** Pomona, CA (Hybrid work from home opportunity)
**Salary:** Flexible, upwards of $110,000 – $150,000 per year, depending on experience

**Job Description:**
**Responsibilities:**
– Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for glazing projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services
– Review project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to determine project requirements and scope
– Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project objectives and provide cost-effective solutions
– Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards
– Prepare detailed take-offs and quantity surveys to accurately estimate material quantities and costs
– Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms
– Prepare and present cost estimates to clients and participate in bid meetings and negotiations
– Track and monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle and provide regular updates to project teams
– Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality or performance
– Maintain accurate records of project estimates, bids, and related documentation
Job Requirements
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience estimating for glazing projects.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., True Construction) preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of glazing materials, systems, and installation methods
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
