Pay Rate: $20.00 to $25.00 an hour, DOE
Employment type: 5-6 months, temp-to-hire for the right candidate
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM plus OT and Saturday work, as needed
Amtec is currently seeking a Laser Machine Operator for a full-service steel fabricator based in Bloomington! The Laser Machine Operator is responsible for safely performing laser cutting for a variety of organizational manufacturing needs.

Essential Functions:
* Perform typical laser cutting operations
* Select proper cutting and fixtures
* Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point
* Make proper set-ups for cutting operations
* Perform prescribed maintenance as required
* Perform all dimensional inspections
* Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
* Read, understand and comprehend basic blueprints and drawings
* Must be able to complete paper work accurately
* May work at different workstations as production needs require

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving
mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction
job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Must be able to work outside in harsh
weather conditions.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Overtime and
Saturdays, as well as the possibility of altered shift hours due to varied work demands, may be required at the request of
your supervisor.
