Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Lighting Design Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in indoor and outdoor sports lighting design, exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with sales representatives, engineers, and factory personnel. As a Lighting Design Specialist for indoor and outdoor sports lighting, will be responsible for designing, building, and installing lighting systems for indoor and outdoor sports applications such as football fields, baseball fields, tennis courts, and indoor sports facilities. Will work closely with architects and engineers to execute client needs while making cost-effective lighting decisions. Will also be responsible for compiling and maintaining all information required to design and quote lighting jobs.

As a Lighting Design Specialist for indoor and outdoor sports lighting, will be responsible for designing, building, and installing lighting systems for indoor and outdoor sports applications such as football fields, baseball fields, tennis courts, and indoor sports facilities. Will work closely with architects and engineers to execute client needs while making cost-effective lighting decisions. Will also be responsible for compiling and maintaining all information required to design and quote lighting jobs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design and create lighting plans from site plans, specifications, geological surveys, and checklists using AGI, AlitCAD, REVIT, DIALux SAP etc.
- Reading and evaluating bid documents, design layouts request, and any other related responsibilities & quote lighting jobs.
- Ensure that sports lighting designs adhere to relevant industry standards, such as IES, FIFA, NCAA, or other applicable guidelines, as well as local codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with sales representatives, engineers, and factory personnel to execute client needs in making cost-effective lighting decisions.
- Compile and maintain all information required to design and quote indoor and outdoor sports lighting jobs.
- Clarify discrepancies between documents provided and obtain additional information integral to the completion of the quotation and submittals.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify that sports lighting installations comply with design specifications, industry standards, and applicable regulations.
- Manage indoor and outdoor sports lighting design projects from conception to completion, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide technical support to customers and sales representatives regarding indoor and outdoor sports lighting.
- Attend indoor and outdoor sports lighting events to showcase and demonstrate our company’s products and services.
- Work with independent sales representatives and train them on the use of indoor and outdoor sports lighting design software and other related products.
- Produce submittal books including drawings and cut sheets of all aspects of the job.
- Stay current with industry trends, new products, and technologies related to sports lighting, incorporating innovative ideas and techniques into designs.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Lighting Design, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in AGi32 software and other relevant design tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar programs.
- Strong knowledge of sports lighting technologies, products, and industry standards.
- Photometric Power Tools for IES files creation and editing
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and industry guidelines related to sports lighting design.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to work on-site when required.
- Position involves some travel.
