Job Description

SUMMARY
To perform all duties in the production as it pertains to receiving and kitting operations such as the proper storing and issuing raw materials for the use on the production floor while ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Adhere to all production/company work instructions, operating procedures, and safety rules.
  • Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming material, ascertain all incoming materials are properly labeled and all correlating documents are available with each Kit.
  • Mark and ensure that materials are in proper locations with identifying information and stored to ESD/MSD practices.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via ERP system.
  • Verify components pulled match ERP system requirements exactly as detailed on AVL’s (i.e., manufacturer, manufacturer part number, counts, lots, etc.) and quality of product.
  • Perform cycle counts on raw materials, finished goods, and component products including investigating and rectifying discrepancies as needed or system requirements arise.
  • Loading reels onto mechanical feeders to prepare for SMT machine use and unloading reels from feeders and returning to inventory when job is completed.
  • Ensure the proper transactions are performed for purchased, consigned, and/or finished goods products by verifying part numbers, markings, lots, and quantities.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to locate missing components, fix incorrect deliveries and replace damaged products.
  • Other duties as assigned.
INTERNAL COMMUNICATION
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedures, instructions, safety rules, and reports.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus 1-2 years receiving/warehouse experience required.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing environment with electronic components is preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English is preferred
  • Effective interpersonal skills, both internally and externally
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • PC literate with working knowledge of Windows.
  • Working knowledge of MRP and/or ERP systems
  • Data entry, math, and computer skills

REASONING ABILITY
Must have good organizational and investigation skills being able to plan and execute workload without supervision

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must have 20/20 visual acuity with or without glasses and color vision.
