Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Responsible for setting-up communication on a project with client, contractor, and inner-office staff
Set-up controls for project scope, building codes, other trades, and assess and mitigate perceived risks during the execution
Coordinate/Assign staff to meet schedule and budget:
Set hourly budgets for main tasks
Set delivery deadlines for project deliverables
Coordinate and deliver information from other trades
Ultimate responsible for the technical quality of the job including:
Coordination and checking of final calculation package for content, quality, completeness, and conformance with the scope
Final coordination and checking of drawings to assure content, quality, completeness, and conformance with the scope
Work to:
Assure conformance with project scope and local codes
Resolution of comments from client or reviewing agency
Resolution of field issues, RFI responses, NCR Responses, etc.
Project close-out reporting
Training of Engineers
Draftsmen:
Field experience
In-House training on specific tasks and skills
Sets expectations and establishes performance standards for staff
Coaches/Evaluates staff performance and provides regular feedback on work performance
Documents and follows up on personnel issues for his/ her direct reports.
Market new and existing clients under direction of Principal and Marketing group. Meets monthly marketing activity goals
Review of invoices of projects he/she is responsible for
Review all timesheets for correctness related to assigned projects
Other duties may be assigned

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
Master's degree from accredited university or program (plus)
PE license (required) SE license (plus)
5+ years of experience
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common calculations and drawings from different sources, scientific and technical journals or documents, financial reports, job performance reports and legal documents
Speaks and writes clearly and articulately without being overly verbose or talkative
Maintains this standard in all forms of written communication including email
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
Ability to write presentations and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format
Technical Ability:
Ability to work with physical concepts such as mechanics of materials concrete/steel/wood/masonry/light gage design and material sciences
Mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

SAP2000, Risa 3D or similar
Microsoft package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) software

AUTOCAD and/or Revit knowledge a plus
