Job Description

The VP of Finance position is crucial for supporting the Division President at a top national home builder through comprehensive financial analysis, strategic business planning, and oversight of accounting functions. Responsibilities include leading financial strategy development, managing programs for effective planning and profitability, and providing leadership to the division support team. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with a strong business mindset and exceptional leadership skills.


**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**


– Develop short and long-term financial strategies for divisional operations.

– Manage financial programs for effective divisional planning and profitability.

– Provide leadership and support to the finance team.

– Oversee reporting strategy for divisional financial activities.

– Ensure compliance with company financial and accounting policies.

– Establish predictive analytics for ongoing forecasting.

– Collaborate with corporate executives to formulate business plans and budgets.

– Guide potential land deals and acquisitions in collaboration with the Division President.

– Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

– Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing insights on finance opportunities.

– Champion a customer-centric mindset across the organization.

– Analyze and leverage data to drive collaboration and action in financial management.

Job Requirements

**QUALIFICATIONS:**


- Minimum of 8+ years leading finance professionals.

- Strategic Vision: Ability to develop a clear vision for finance aligned with organizational goals.

- Business Acumen: Strong track record of supporting business growth through finance programs.

- Change Management: Proven experience in leading organizational change and transforming finance organizations.

- Team Leadership: Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performance teams.

- Results-driven: Focus on delivering measurable outcomes and achieving KPIs.

- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- 8+ years of leadership experience in a financial role, including 5 years in a senior financial position.

- Expertise in accounting, controls, business strategy, and land acquisition.

- Experience with J-SOX compliance.

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business; MBA and/or CPA license preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), with advanced skills.
